About Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal is a 5-story honeycomb-shaped pink sandstone structure featuring 953 intricate small windows (Jharokhas). It was constructed so royal court women could observe street processions without being seen from outside.
History & Heritage
Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and designed by Lal Chand Ustad in the shape of Lord Krishna’s crown.
